- Pull your upper eyelid over your lower eyelid. The lashes from your lower eyelid may be able to brush away any dust or debris caught underneath your upper eyelid.
- Blink a lot. If there is dust or sand in your eye, blinking can help get rid of them. Avoid rubbing your eye as it can make the scratch worse.
- Wear sunglasses. Your eyes may be sensitive to the light because of the scratch. To remedy this, sunglasses can make you feel more comfortable while you heal.
- Stop wearing your contact lenses. Contact lenses may slow down the healing process and cause complications such as contact lens-related infections.
